Today’s morning meeting was interesting as we got to learn about the RIT imaging science program, specifically the freshman class Joe teaches. We learned about how the imaging science program is a unique class that prepare students for the future and how it differs from a traditional classroom. We watched videos about the class and learned how through the course of the year they design and develop an imaging science system that they have to present at imagine RIT. These videos were very interesting and showed how the class can differ from a traditional classroom. Later, I went to the MRI lab and continued analyzing the ink samples given to us by the Director, David Messinger. There were three different pieces of paper that contained four different inks that were analyzed in order to determine if the LFEPR machine would detect an EPR signal. However after going through the data and spectra of the inks we determined that none of the inks had a signal. It was interesting to see how even though there different inks none showed a signal. This information would need to be passed on to the director in the upcoming days.
Today, was the final day of my internship. This was a great opportunity and I had my final presentation today. The presentations started once family members, faculty and staff, and other professors arrived and I was fourth to present. I gave my presentation and afterwards was relived that it was over. Also, congressman Joe Morelle made an appearance, which was exciting. We all got to meet with him and talk to him about the internship. Afterwards he gave a small speech and we took some pictures. Later we were all presented with our certificates of achievement. The internship was a unique and rewarding experience that will help me in the future.
